Anna Elliott Douglas BSN, RN, CWOCN

Anna Elliott Douglass was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. A graduate from Belmont University School of Nursing in 1997, she worked as a graduate in the Burn ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a staff nurse. Here, Anna encountered her love for wound care. In 2001, Anna took a position in the Trauma Unit at Vanderbilt as a staff nurse, but also as the resident "wound expert," providing guidance and education to staff in regards to wound care and pressure ulcer prevention. She enrolled in the Emory WOC Nurse Program in March of 2007 and in June of that same year became the first wound, ostomy and continence nurse for the Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt. In 2010, Anna went to work at Baptist Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive care Unit solely working with neonates and their special skin, wound, and/or ostomy needs.
