Amy Folk MSN, RN, CWON is a certified Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse with over 10 years of experience. She currently manages the WOC Nursing Department at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Shadyside Campus. She has maintained her nursing career at UPMC, starting on the Surgical Oncology Unit where she gained a passion for caring for patients with complex wounds, ostomies and fistulas. Amy has also had the opportunity to work as a Clinical Research Coordinator and an Innovation Improvement Specialist at UPMC.
Amy is a Course Co-Coordinator for the Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) and Ostomy Care Associates (OCA) programs. She enjoys serving as a clinical preceptor for nurses who complete their WOC Nursing Education Program. Amy has a passion for improving outcomes and is working to be involved in the professional specialty organization. She has recently served as a volunteer for the WOCN Society Convex Pouching Task Force.
