Joy Hooper RN, BSN, CWOCN, OMS, WCC, AWCC

Joy Hooper became certified as a CWOCN in 2002 and has always had a passion for providing ostomy education and care. Her desire for helping patients and clinicians achieve a better understanding of the different ostomy surgeries led her to create the Anatomical Apron. Her passion for helping ostomates obtain ostomy supplies and education directed her to establish an ostomy support group and pioneer a free ostomy clinic in South Georgia. Joy is a clinical instructor for the Wound Care Education Institute by Relias for both their wound (WCC) and ostomy (OMS) certifications. Joy was proud to be chosen as the UOAA’s 2019 WOC of the year.
