Sean Johnson is the Administrative Program Director for the University of Washington Medicine’s Transgender and Gender Non-Binary Health Program, started in 2018. Sean’s background is in Social Work and Public Health at the University of Washington, and he has been an advocate, social service provider, and researcher for health equity, race and social justice, and social determinates of health for the last seventeen years. As a researcher he has contributed to publications related to Atherosclerosis, gender affirming care, and transgender and gender non-binary discrimination. He drafted the 3rd gender-neutral bathroom law in the country for the city of Seattle, co-founded the first transmasculine podcast, and contributed to the development of the first transgender health publication, Trans Bodies Trans Selves.
