With 35 years of experience as a WOC certified NP I have worked in all settings including Acute, IP, OP, Home, NH, and education. I started a Wound Clinic in 1993 which grew to a staff of 5 certified wound Ostomy nurses and provided contracting to 32 facilities and agencies within a 13 county radius of service in NE Iowa, with 2 other offsite Wound Clinics in rural communities. As Faculty for WEBWOC for the past 13 years I have enjoyed connecting with students all over the country. I’d say my radius of service has grown exponentially as an educator. Participating in education through the WOCN has also been a great opportunity to share some of my practice stories!
