In my 35 years of experience as a WOC certified nurse I have had the opportunity to care for many ostomy patients and have enjoyed the long term relationships and even friendships of those I have been privileged to serve! As a faculty member for WEBWOC Nursing Education program I have enjoyed sharing my knowledge and stories of my growth as an ostomy specialist and look forward to addressing the topic of anticipatory care. Our time with our patients can be so limited we really need to focus on the big picture with comprehensive strategies to anticipate and prevent complications!
