Susie Seaman has been a WOCN since 1990 and practiced in home health for the first 8 years of her Wound/Ostomy career. Since 1998, when she finished her MS in nursing and her NP training, she has worked in the outpatient wound clinic environment in both hospital-based and medical group-based settings. She took an 18 month break from wound care to work in an Infectious Diseases practice, caring for patients with various infections before returning to wound care in 2022. At that time, she started a wound clinic for Family Health Centers of San Diego, one of the top ten largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in the U.S. She currently practices there.

Ms. Seaman is on the Planning Committee of the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care, is on the Executive Committee of the International Wound Infection Institute, and is on the faculty of the Wound Certification Prep Course.
