Time: 01:00PM - 02:00PM

You must be registered to participate!

One thing that most practicing clinicians agree upon is that modern healthcare has become more litigious. The legal fallout from litigation pertaining to patient care can range from being sued for medical malpractice or negligence to being reported to a state regulatory board for action upon one’s license. The best protection for the practicing clinician is the quality of patient care documentation. This session focuses on legal documentation issues and associated aspects of career development supporting clinicians’ legal defensibility.

Learning Outcome: Learners will report increased confidence in their knowledge of medical malpractice processes and issues that may impact their practice, and report their intention to change their practice to improve medical-legal defensibility.
