The highest incidence of and most severe pressure injury occur in persons with darkly pigmented skin. Explore "What's pigment got to do with it"? and learn about the differences in the appearance of skin injury and healing in dark pigmented skin. We will also be looking at ways to improve your assessments of darkly pigmented skin.

Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion of this educational program, the learner should be able to have increased confidence in assessing skin injury in darkly pigmented skin.
