WOCN Conference 2017

O501 - WOC Nurse Role in Successful Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Program (ERAS)

Standard: $5.00

Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways are becoming best practice models for surgical care. WOC nurses are involved in patient care through the continuum of care and are respected by surgeons, staff nurses, educators, patients and other key ERAS team members. WOC nurses possess the knowledge and skills necessary to engage patients and staff in ERAS, making them essential members of the multidisciplinary ERAS team.

Following this program participants will understand steps they can take to become a leader in the implementation of and ongoing success of ERAS at their institutions.
