PP403 - 3D Printing: What's in the Future

Standard: $5.00

Description

3D printing has already impacted medicine by providing patient specific models for procedure planning and practitioner training. Patient specific 3D printed devices and some implants have been utilized to improve patient outcomes and develop treatments that heretofore would not be possible, especially for small patient markets like pediatrics. In this session, the role of 3D printing in medicine will be discussed, and specifically the challenges to bringing 3D printed technologies to patient care and the models to support this clinical translation.
