Description

A dynamic Preconference on Pharmacology, focusing on medications and prescribing regimens specific to providing primary care for patients with wound, ostomy, & continence (WOC) issues. Explanation of the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of a variety of drugs used to treat urinary & fecal incontinence will be provided as well as a case-based approach to help you apply the content to clinical problems you face daily in your Continence practice. 

Objectives: 

  1. Explain the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of a variety of drugs used to treat urinary and fecal incontinence, enuresis, UTI’s, CAUTIs, and C. Dificil
  2. Demonstrate clinical application of the pharmacology content through case study discussion and provide appropriate patient education regarding drug therapy for bowel and bladder dysfunction
