Credits: None available.

Standard: $20.00

Description

While hospital-acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) have decreased over recent years, incidence rates remain high for many hospitals, especially among the critically ill. If you are in search of interventions to add to your pressure ulcer prevention plan, please attend this session. Dr. Jeanine Frumenti will describe her research about changing pressure ulcer prevention practice by educating nursing leaders within the hospital. Katie Swafford will describe an independent study demonstrating how she and her colleagues reduced HAPUs in an adult ICU, with an estimated cost savings of over one million dollars.
