Description

This session will provide the learner with an understanding of the pathophysiology associated with lymphedema and lipedema, their differences, similarities and impact both have upon the integumentary system. Clinically relevant examination strategies and interventions will be discussed. Both conditions can complicate wound healing and lead to significant functional and emotional impairments. Knowledge of these conditions will lead to better patient care and improved outcomes for the millions who suffer from these debilitating disorders.

  • Discuss treatment interventions for lymphedema
