Description

Many WOC nurses fail to recognize the knowledge & skill that they acquired through continence certification. This 4 part series highlights the services and benefits of being a certified continence care nurse and the impact it can make regarding catheter and containment management across the care continuum - You ARE a Continence Care Nurse! Part 2 of this series is an INTERACTIVE session that focuses upon catheter management in acute care and problem solving catheter associated complications. 

Objectives: 

  1. Discuss proper evidence - based indwelling catheter management that is specific to the Acute Care setting
  2. Cite common catheter associated complications in this setting and how to problem solve to reduce these complications i.e. CAUTI’s, inappropriate use, staff related issues
