Description

The purpose of this activity is to review the application and utilization of advanced wound care products in infants and children. The audience will be instructed in the safety and efficacy of advanced topical wound care interventions in this special population of patients. This session will review available guidelines and personal experience in treating wounds in neonatal and pediatric patients.

Learning Objectives:
  • The attendee can summarize current limitations on product availability for neonates/peds.
  • The attendee discuss current recommendations re: topical and pharmacologic agents that are known harmful and safe in the neonatal & pediatric population.
