Description

This session will discuss the research surrounding the qualities of a successful pressure ulcer prevention program and strategies to implement and sustain a program in an acute care facility. The presenters will discuss necessary attributes and structural organization of programs that have successfully engaged interprofessional staff, utilized data to drive outcomes and developed unique strategies to operationalize best practice recommendations. This session will provide insight into necessary facility infrastructure development and answer the clinical question of, “how do I develop a culture of prevention, when I’m all on my own.”

  • Describe strategies for implementing and Sustaining Pressure ulcer Prevention Program
