Program Overview:

The monitoring and prevention of skin breakdown is a priority in nursing care.  Research has shown that a nurse’s lack of knowledge in skin care can have a negative impact on patient care.  The WOC Tip of the Day began as a way to communicate brief and concise education on skin, wound and ostomy care in the same way to a larger amount of nurses and nursing assistants.  This course illustrates the effectiveness of the WOC Tip of the Day in improving staff nurse education, comfort and prevention of skin breakdown.
