Dystrophies of the toenails are commonly misdiagnosed as solely a nail fungus (Onychomycosis). There are a myriad of disorders that can mimic the appearance of a fungal nail. The presentation will provide an overview of the various different types of nail dystrophies along with techniques on how to identify the etiologies and provide either the appropriate treatment or the proper referral.
The learner will be able to diagnose, treat or provide the proper referral for various nail disorders, which have been currently misdiagnosed.
