This session will focus on the common medications for WOC patients and how diminished or absent renal function alters drug performance and metabolism. By reviewing stages of kidney disease, RNs and APRNs will be able to identify how to modify, substitute or eliminate medications in persons with impaired renal function.
By incorporating knowledge of chronic kidney disease into Wound, Ostomy and Continence practice, nurses will be able to identify, substitute, or eliminate medications for persons with compromised renal function.
