We will explore dance, specifically belly dancing, and how it can improve the strength of the pelvic muscles to assist in control of bowel and bladder. There will be an examination of these techniques from and anatomic, physiologic and functional perspectives, as well as the opportunity for some real-time practice. Learner Outcome:
Learners will have an improved understanding of pelvic floor anatomy and how the exercises performed during belly dancing and yoga contribute to pelvic organ function.
