Parastomal hernia development is a common complication for a patient with a stoma. This session with will review the incidence, clinical presentation, risk factors, workup and surgical and non-surgical treatment of the ostomy patient with a parastomal hernia. The management of the patient with a parastomal hernia is a challenge that should be managed by both a surgeon and a WOC nurse to support the best outcome.
