Program Overview:

A growing body of evidence has led to near global acceptance of the prevalence and clinical relevance of incontinence associated dermatitis (IAD) among adults, adolescents, and older children. However, we continues to differentiate IAD from diaper dermatitis in infants and its distinction in younger children remains uncertain. This presentation will update the state of the science of IAD across the lifespan and public policy toward this clinically relevant and prevalent disorder.

Learning Outcomes:

  • At the end of this session the learner will apply knowledge of IAD across the patient's lifetime and formulate a plan for influencing public policy in this area of care.
