Program Overview:
Hospital-acquired pressure injuries are a problem that many WOC nurses regularly encounter. This course will illustrate the process that nurses can follow to properly identify increased instances of HAPI, and review steps to take to address and solve the problem, including coordination with the facility education leaders as well as administration. The course will illustrate interventions for improving staff understanding and implementation of an effective pressure injury prevention and wound care program within the healthcare setting. Learners will also identify professional resources to aid in addressing similar challenges in their own healthcare settings.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to describe methods to enhance education and engagement with assessment tools and intervention strategies to decrease pressure injury.
