Program Overview

Every year professional nurses spend hours developing a healthcare issue into a research project, a practice improvement idea or case study project to submit the completed idea into a poster submission for a conference. However, the length of time a poster is made available to people is extremely limited; and thus, the dissemination of the important information in the poster is also greatly limited. For many of the authors the results of the hard work end as the conference ends ... but it doesn't have to end at that point. Learning how to extend the lifetime of a poster project will have beneficial effects for many. This presentation will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to take the next step to extend the life of the lessons learned.

Learning Outcome:

At the completion of this presentation, the learner will be able to report increased confidence in the steps to translate a poster presentation into a written publication.
