Program Overview
This session provides an evidence-based update on pharmacology for the wound, ostomy, and continence nurse, including a brief review of pharmacological principles and content on traditional herbal remedies. The speaker will cover common pharmacologic treatments, including side effects and practical considerations related to each specialty area of practice.
Learning Outcome: The learner will report increased confidence in monitoring patients receiving pharmacological agents as part of the plan of care for the treatment of conditions commonly seen by the wound, ostomy, continence nurse.
