This presentation provides a practical guide to understanding basic nutritional concepts for the patient with an ostomy. The following topics will be covered: goal setting, keeping food journals, fluid intake, and managing diet change. The speaker will provide nutritional resources and use case studies to aid the learner to apply knowledge to patient care.
Following this activity, the learner will report increased confidence in their ability to provide nutritional education to patients living with an ostomy.
