Description

Dr. McMullen has been conducting research about patients with bladder and colorectal cancer for over a decade with the goal of providing evidence about patients’ experiences of colectomy or cystectomy, including educational needs, caregiving, quality of life and other patient-centered outcomes. This talk will highlight evidence from her population-based, mixed-methods research as well as theoretical frameworks for interpreting that evidence that are directly relevant for providing patient-centered care to individuals preparing for or living with an ostomy.
