Dr. George Koullias is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and has completed his Vascular Surgery Certification. He is currently Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Stony Brook School of Medicine, and Director, Center for Advanced Wound Healing at Southampton Hospital in Southampton, NY. He has numerous publications to his credit, including co-authoring a textbook on The Role of the Endothelium in Coronary Artery Disease, numerous peer-reviewed articles, and several textbook chapters. He has also presented nationally and internationally on vascular and wound care topics. Along with an active vascular surgical schedule, Dr. Koullias devotes a third of his practice to treating wound care patients, providing care for a wide variety of hard to heal wounds in the wound care center.
