Shanna Fraser started her medical career as a medic in the US Army, as a member of the prestigious Berlin Brigade, serving during the fall of the Berlin wall. Shanna has been a registered nurse for 28 years, she has been a WOCN for the past 18 years with the majority of her years of practice spent in San Antonio. She received her Ph.D. from The University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio in 2020, where she was honored to be a Jonas Nursing Scholar. Shanna has volunteered locally as a leader with her fellow WOC nurses and with the Ostomy Association of South Texas.
