Kathleen Francis MSN, CWOCN, FNP-BC

NP Coordinator of the Wound Ostomy Continence Team, Maimonides Medical Center

I have been a RN for over 35 years; I have held positions in nursing at the bedside, as staff development and as a NP. I recently completed the DNP program at Wagner College, Staten Island. I have a MSN in nursing education, and have practiced as a Nurse Educator where I gained experience teaching nursing and professional staff at all levels. I studied for my WOCN at LaSalle University, and achieved CWOCN in 2008. I am currently practicing as a Wound Ostomy Continence NP in both acute care and the outpatient clinic at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where I have gained experience caring for a diverse patient population.

I have also served on many WOCN Committees and task forces; I am a peer reviewer for JWOCN, and I am also active in Local WOCN affiliate (Metro NY).
