Board certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse, who attended Emory University WOC Nursing Education Program. Speaker has twenty years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, providing direct care and clinical consultation on the care of patients with ostomy and wound conditions. Speaker is now employed in the medical device industry as a Clinical Research Scientist. Speaker’s area of study is stoma and peristomal complications and she will be reporting the results of her dissertation research project. She has published several papers in peer reviewed journals; one of the most recent papers was a systematic review of stoma and peristomal complications.
