Elizabeth A. Ayello is a board certified wound and ostomy nurse from New York City, who is internationally known as an educator, researcher, prolific author, editor, clinician, and mentor. Dr. Ayello is currently-Editor in Chief for the international interprofessional journal Advances in Skin and Wound Care, President of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET®) Executive Editor Emeritus for the WCET® Journal, Faculty IIWCC Canada and UAE and International Liaison for WUWHS. She has over 200 peer reviewed articles, The 2020 WCET International Ostomy Guideline, and two wound care books including the award-winning Wound Care Essentials’ Practice Principles now in its 5th edition. Among her many awards and honors is her most recent accolade is the WUWHS 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Secretary of Health in Abu Dhabi March 2022. line, we are delighted that Dr. Ayello will join Dr. Bliss in presenting What’s in a Name?
