Elizabeth A. Ayello is a board certified wound and ostomy nurse from New York City, who is internationally known as an educator, researcher, prolific author, editor, clinician, and mentor. Dr. Ayello is currently a Co-Editor in Chief for the journal Advances in Skin and Wound Care, President of Ayello Harris & Associates Inc., Executive Editor Emeritus WCET Journal and Faculty Emeritus Excelsior University School of Nursing. She is the immediate past president of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET®) and the 1999 NPUAP President. Dr. Ayello has over 200 journal articles and several books. For her lifetime contributions to WOC nursing, she has received numerous awards and honors.
