Jeffrey Albaugh PhD, APRN, CUCNS

Jeffrey Albaugh is a board certified Advanced Practice Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist who runs the NorthShore University HealthSystem William D. and Pamela Hutul Ross Clinic for Sexual Health. Prior to working at NorthShore, Dr. Albaugh was at Northwestern Memorial for almost 25 years. In addition, he ran the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Sexual Health Clinic for 4 years.

Dr. Albaugh specializes in treating patients and couples with sexual dysfunction. He also sees men undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.

In addition to his many publications in peer reviewed journals and books on sexual dysfunction, Dr. Albaugh has participated as a national consensus panel member on sexual dysfunction and been quoted in media and publications as an expert in the treatment of sexual dysfunction, including Martha Stewart’s Whole Living, WGN News, CBS 2 News, the New York Times and The Chicago Tribune Red Eye. He is the only nurse at Northwestern to ever win two nursing excellence awards and Northwestern’s “One of Our Finest” award for exceptional patient care. He is also an award-winning International speaker who has lectured on sexual health all over the United States and recently in Ireland, Spain and New Zealand.

Dr. Albaugh completed his PhD in research focused on sexual dysfunction from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received his masters from North Park University and his bachelors from DePaul University in Chicago. Dr. Albaugh’s research in sexual health has been funded by many sources including the National Institutes of Health.
