Rose W. Murphree DNP, RN, CWOCN, CFCN

Assistant Clinical Professor, Emory University, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing

Rose received her ADN and BSN at Mobile University in Mobile, AL in the early 1980s. She obtained her MSN from Emory University in 2011 and her DNP from Augusta University in 2014. Rose graduated from the Emory University ET Nursing Program in 1987 and has worked in WOC nursing since. She has experience as an international nurse in Saudi Arabia, the Bahamas, Jamaica and most recently in Haiti. Rose is an Assistant Professor with Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing and Lead Nurse Planner for the Emory Nursing Professional Development Center.

She has spoken at regional, national, and international conferences. Rose is a contributing author in the 2015 and 2020 WOCN Society’s Core Curriculum textbooks on Wound Care, Ostomy Care, and Continence Care; has presented posters at conference. She has served on the WOCN Board nationally and with SE Region in the past. She currently is the USA International Delegate for the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists.
