Jan Colwell has practiced as a WOC nurse for over 40 years most recently as the lead WOC nurse in the outpatient nurse run ostomy clinic at the University of Chicago Medicine. She has contributed to the WOC community as a past president of the WOCN and Friends of Ostomates Worldwide USA, as a editor of three ostomy text books, multiple peer reviewed journals and national and international presentations.
