Eight years ago Kim was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis only to find out a year and a half later, that she would have a complete colectomy at the age of 20. She did not realized the severity of her situation at the time. Currently, she lives in Columbus, Ohio, and works at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as the recruitment coordinator for the Internal Medicine residency program and has worked there for 5 years.
