Stephanie Yates holds a BSN from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, and a MSN from Duke University. She received specialty training in the field of wound, ostomy, and continence care nursing, completing the Wound Ostomy & Continence Nursing Education Program at Emory University. Stephanie continued her formal education, completing a Post Masters certificate as an adult nurse practitioner at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Stephanie practiced for many years in acute care, home health, long term care and an outpatient wound clinic treating patients with a variety of wounds. She also served as President of the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) from 2019-2021. She has co-authored several journal articles and co-edited the second edition of the WOCN Core Curriculum - Wound Care. She has lectured on wound care topics locally, regionally, and nationally. She was recently inducted as a Fellow in the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Society.
