Dr. Sundeep G. Keswani MD

Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics

Sundeep G. Keswani, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Surgery, is a member of the pediatric surgery and fetal surgery team at Texas Childrens Hospital and the Director of the Texas Childrens Laboratory for Regenerative Tissue Repair. He is also Director of Pediatric Wound Care Services. Dr. Keswani completed his adult general surgery training at Louisiana State University in his hometown of New Orleans and completed his pediatric surgery fellowship at St. Louis Children's Hospital and the Washington University School of Medicine. He also completed a research fellowship and fetal surgery fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Keswanis clinical interests are in fetal diagnosis and therapy, neonatal surgery, and pediatric wound care. His NIH-funded laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms of regenerative fetal tissue repair and is actively developing novel therapeutics to achieve postnatal regenerative wound healing. He has a long standing interest in treating wounds in children and is the current president of the International Society of Pediatric Wound Care and is on the Board of Directors for the Wound Healing Society.

Dr. Keswani is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General and Pediatric Surgery.
