Gail Creelman, a native of Bayfield, New Brunswick has been a nurse at the IWK Health Centre, Halifax since 1978. The IWK is the pediatric referral center for NS, PE and NB. She received her Nursing Diploma from Niagara College, St. Catharines, Ontario, Continuing Care Diploma from St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia and completed the Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy Education Program in 2003. She was in the first group to receive certification for Enterostomal Therapy Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association in 2009. With a long pediatric surgical and burn care career behind her she moved into the role of ET Nurse at the IWK in 2001. Besides providing education and support for wound management and ostomy care she co-ordinates a Bowel Management Program. In 2011 she added ambulatory burn care to her portfolio. Louise Forest-Lalande has been working at the CHU Sainte-Justine, a mother-and-child University health centre in Montreal, as an enterostomal therapy nurse from1985 to 2011. In 1992, she completed a Master degree at University of Montreal in Adult Education. She is actively involved in many wound care and ET Nursing associations and she is guest speaker on ostomy and wound care at University of Montreal and for Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Programs (ETNEPs) in China. Paediatric stoma and wound care is a real passion for her. She has published many papers on the topic and has been travelling and lecturing in many countries to promote her speciality. She received awards from the CHU Sainte-Justine, the CAET and the Ordre des Infirmieres et Infirmiers du Quebec for her international involvement. In October 2007 she organised in Montreal the first International Paediatric Enterostomal Therapy meeting. She has been the Chair of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET) Education committee from 2002 to 2008, WCET Vice-president from 2008 to June 2010 and President of the WCET from June 2010 to June 2014.
