Nancy Beinlich has been practicing in the nursing field for 45 years. Nancy graduated in 1971 from The Ohio State University with a BSN, RN. Nancy is a certified wound and ostomy nurse (CWON) and has been practicing in this field for 35 years. She has practiced in the acute care surgical setting, home care setting, and as a CWON in the Akron General outpatient Wound Center and inpatient setting. Nancy obtained her MSN with a focus on education from Walden University in 2010. Nancy is a member of the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Society. Nancy has published on the topics of wound care, foot and toenail care for at risk patients, and preventing pressure ulcers in national and international, peered reviewed journals. Nancy has presented on these topics locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally during her career. Nancy is active in sharing her passion for excellence in nursing by serving as a professional development specialist for nurses in the field of wounds, foot and toenail care for at risk patients, and ostomies.
