Prof. R N Srivastava is working as Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery and Head Spinal Surgery Unit, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. Prof. R N Srivastava has been very active in teaching, training and Research activities of KGMU and has many publications at national and international levels with an H index of 12, I-10 index 13. He has published 48 research articles having 396 citations in the last five years. He has been Reviewer of research articles in several high impact international journals to name a few, Spinal Cord, JWOCN, International Wound Journal, Spine, BMJ and Osteoarthritis and cartilage. Prof Srivastava has extensively travelled abroad to present, and speak at annual meetings of ASIA, AAOS, OTA, NASS, SRS, SIS and OARSI in USA, AOA at Australia, ISCoS, EULAR and EFORT at UK, OARSI at Belgium, COA in Canada and SOA at Singapore. He is recipient of many awards at national and international levels, a recipient of Three Travelling Fellowships abroad. Prof. Srivastava has published published many articles related to wound care specifically on Pressure ulcer. Prof. Srivastava has excelled himself in negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) for the management of pressure ulcer. He designed a novel negative pressure device for the treatment of pressure ulcer. He also published a RCT on his device along with a Non RCT. He published another article to your prestigious journal (JWOCN) in 2017. In this articles, he has been studied the role of Matrix metalloproteinase-8 in healing of pressure ulcer.
