Dr. Kristine Taylor is the Director of Practice, Innovation & Magnet at Stanford Children’s Health. She obtained her Doctorate of Nurse Practice and Masters of Public Health from the University of Colorado and Bachelor and Master degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University. Kristine has experience as a pediatric clinical nurse, specializing in congenital heart defects and solid organ transplant. Kristine has focused on quality improvement her entire nursing career focusing on preventing hospital acquire conditions. Nursing is a second career, her prior focus was social work in the geriatric setting specializing in Alzheimer’s. Kristine has worked with the WOC team at her organization for 5 years and has an article recently accepted "The benefits of using Knowles adult learner theory to develop a nursing policy for maintaining skin integrity around the VAD site". Kristine recently co-created a Skin summit with Family Centered Care department to integrate parent education mentors in the prevention of hospital acquire skin injuries.
