Nurse Practitioner, Cottage Hospital/Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing UC Davis/SJSU Wound Ostomy Program
Is a nurse for over 20 years working primarily in pediatrics and in the last several years has transitioned to focus on wound ostomy continence care across the age and health care spectrum. Her focus in pediatric wound ostomy continence has been developing quality initiatives to reduce pressure injuries. She has collaborated with clinicians and industry to reduce the incidence and impact of skin injuries. And actively participates in contributing to evidence based practice through education, research and publications. She supports dissemination of best practice by being invited to speak at conferences Nationally and Internationally on maintaining skin integrity in children.
She is one of the co-founders and educators of the Wound Ostomy Program at San Jose State Valley Foundation School of Nursing. And concurrently lectures for the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing UC Davis while practicing clinically with the surgical team at Cottage Hospital.
