Dr. Martha Curley RN, PhD, FAAN

Ruth M. Colket Endowed Chair in Pediatric Nursing, University of Pennsylvania/Children's Hospital of Philadlphia

Dr. Martha A. Q. Curley is the Ruth M. Colket Endowed Chair in Pediatric Nursing at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She also holds a joint appointment in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the University's Perelman School of Medicine. Her research, funded by NHLBI, NINR and NICHD, has focused on nurse-implemented interventions in pediatric care. Dr. Curley led the development and dissemination of the Braden Q scale. She is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. She received her diploma in nursing from Springfield Hospital School of Nursing, her BS from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, her MSN in acute care pediatrics from Yale School of Nursing and her PhD from Boston College.
