Dr. Helene Moriarty PhD, RN, FAAN

In her VA role, Dr. Moriarty directed a nursing research program that developed national and interprofessional research capacity to address the health of our nation’s military veterans and their families. Dr. Moriarty’s entire career has focused on improving our understanding and care of individuals and families experiencing severe stressors, with a special emphasis on veterans and their families. She and colleagues conducted a mixed methods study of veterans with Parkinson's disease and lower urinary symptoms and a mixed methods study of their spousal caregivers. The study with spousal caregivers will be presented at the conference.
