Dr. Lewis Wall MD, DPhil

L. Lewis Wall, MD, DPhil, is the Selina Okin Kim Conner Professor in Arts and Sciences, Professor of Anthropology and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis. He is the founder of The Worldwide Fistula Fund and has been engaged in clinical care, research, and advocacy for African women with childbirth injuries for 25 years. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles in the medical literature. His book, Tears for My Sisters: The Tragedy of Obstetric Fistula, was published by the Johns Hopkins University Press ins 2018.
