Dr. Laurajean Kudatzky PT, DPT, ATP, CWS

Laurajean Kudatzky PT, DPT, ATP, CWS is a physical therapist who received her Assistive Technology Professional certification in 2016. The Assistive Technology Certification (ATP) recognizes demonstrated competence in analyzing the needs of consumers with disabilities, assisting in the selection of appropriate assistive technology for the consumers’ needs, and providing training in the use of the selected devices. She utilized this certification while in the inpatient seating clinic at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role, she performed postural evaluations, wheelchair trials and custom wheelchair orders and fittings for the spinal cord injury population but also other neurological injuries. She was in the seating clinic for 2 years and then transitioned into wound care. Her background in seating has helped facilitate education and discussions with patients as well as interdisciplinary team members. She received her Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) certification in January 2018 and enjoys her full time role in inpatient and outpatient wound care.
